The Rower Inistioge Camogie Club

The Rower Inistioge Camogie Club is located in South Kilkenny. It is a very active Camogie Club with membership growing every year. Currently, we have 130 Juvenile and 23 Adult players , as well as Committee Members and a busy fundraising committee. We are extremely lucky to have over 30 committed and hard working trainers , selectors, and team assistants. The time and energy all trainers give to their teams is invaluable to the club, and contributes to the success and enjoyment that all players are exposed to each year. We are in an excellent position to have two primary schools in the area and are very grateful for the co-operation and help from teachers and staff in both The Rower and Inistioge schools, in promoting Camogie to the girls. We currently field U6, U8, U10, U12, Schools, U14, U16, U18, U21, and Intermediate teams.

We are delighted each year to have so many club girls competing at inter county level with Kilkenny, from development squads to Senior. We are always proud to be represented by such skilful and committed players. We have a very dedicated and hard working Committee and fundraising committee within the Club. Many parents and local supporters in the community are essential to the running of the club , due the time they give to trainings, fundraising events, and to promoting the sport in the area.

We try to vary fundraising events where possible each year. Our Annual Timber Auction is our most successful fundraiser to date, we have also run cabarets, fancy dress nights, summer barbeques, chirstmas raffles, and table quiz nights. Upcoming events such as a “all you can eat Breakfast morning” and a Timber Auction are on our fundraising agenda and we are hopeful that they will be the success we envisage them to be.

We are very lucky to have continued support from our Local Hurling club. We are welcomed every year to have access to and use both pitches for training and matches. We like to keep everyone updated on what’s happening in the club and to generate support at games for the players. During peak seasons we have event information , fixtures and results in weekly papers, mass newsletters and on our club Facebook page and Website. We are always thankful to local shops and businesses for allowing us to advertise games and events on their premises.

We would like to wish all our players, trainers, and officials success in the current years competitions. We invite all to keep updated and in touch with us via any of our various means of promoting the clubs activities.
